Not Just a Pretty Picture (But Also, Pretty Pictures)
César Barroso was born in Venezuela, moved to the U.S. as a little boy, then returned to Venezuela until he finished high school. For a while, he thought he’d be a politician—until the harsh reality set in: it’s a waste of time and, frankly, a waste of a life. By 15, he made the smarter call: to become an artist.
He double-majored in photography and film at the University of Miami before heading to Los Angeles, where he worked in operations at modeling agencies and even became a partner at one—just in time for it to go belly-up during the pandemic. That disaster? Best thing that ever happened. It gave him the push to go all-in as a photographer, and he now runs Amigo Studio.
The other constant in his life? Writing. From crafting award-winning stories like The Saints podcast to working on projects still in development, César tells stories in any medium that calls to him.
And the name, “Amigo César”? It’s not just branding—it’s a way of life. Friendship is a full-contact sport for him, and he plays to win. Whether behind the camera, the keyboard, or just sharing a drink, he’s all in.
